As a ServiceNow Developer (DEV) at The Cloud People, you will be a vital part of our Consultancy organization , working as a core member of implementation projects, continuous agile development, and DevOps deliveries. You will be the Subject Matter Expert executing customizations and configurations across all ServiceNow platform components—from integrations and UI to security and intelligence. Your mission is not just to code, but to critically analyze and challenge delegated designs, ensuring that every user story is implemented with an optimal, scalable, and high-performing technical solution.

What You Will Do
Technical Requirement Analysis: Collaborate closely with Solution and Technical Architects to refine User Stories. You will actively challenge suboptimal designs or business requirements to ensure optimal functional coverage.
Platform & Custom App Development: Configure and extend ServiceNow platform components (e.g., UI Builder, Portals, Workspaces). You will also develop custom ServiceNow applications utilizing code, low-code, and no-code best practices.
Advanced Scripting: Write, test, and debug both server-side and client-side JavaScript (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts) to implement robust business logic and automate processes.
Integration Development: Build and establish secure integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems, applications, and databases using web services, APIs, and middleware technologies.
Data Management: Configure and manage data models, schemas, and relationships within the ServiceNow CMDB and other out-of-the-box modules requiring extensions.
Catalog & Workflow Automation: Design and implement intuitive Service Catalog items and advanced workflows equipped with automated approval processes and scripts.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough unit, integration, and performance testing for all configured, customized, and developed ServiceNow components.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for your code and integrations to ensure a smooth transition to support and ongoing maintenance.
What We Are Looking For
Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer working within an agile or DevOps development regime.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and deep technical knowledge of ServiceNow components (Integrations, UI, Workspaces, Virtual Agent, etc.).
Experience building and managing integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, middleware).
A critical, proactive mindset—you are comfortable challenging delegated designs and suggesting refinements to achieve the best technical outcome.
Relevant ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA), are highly beneficial.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within technical teams.
